From classic 90s anime to anime of the present day, the six tracks on the EP are a celebration of the variety of music used as opening soundtracks for these smash-hit shows.
CSE showcases Cowboy Bebop’s slick jazz opening, “Tank!,” alongside the opening rock themes to “Pokémon” and “My Hero Academia,” in addition to the quintessential J-Pop opening songs for “Neon Genesis Evangelion,” “Sword Art Online” and most recent Anime, “Demon Slayer.”

THROWBACK…TO THE MILLENNIUM EP (2021)
A reimagining of some of pop music’s most iconic songs of the Millennium era.
Spanning from 1996 to 2008, all 6 tracks in this EP show-off City String Ensemble’s ability to perform multi-genres within the pop industry with songs such as “Virtual Insanity” by Jamiroquai and “I Believe In A Thing Called Love” by The Darkness requiring a sensibility for the funk and rock genres respectively while Estelle ft. Kanye West’s “American Boy” puts a spotlight on our version of rap.

TWENTY TWENTY EP (2020)
Released on 12 December 2020.
Our debut EP is a collection of unique arrangements of songs of past and present. Some tracks feature the violin "chopping" technique which has since become synonymous with our signature style. We are very proud to have released this album during the year 2020 and wanted to release songs that uplift, choosing hit songs from our childhood, as well as including an epic ode to James Bond soundtracks, with our very special commission of "Bond."
