A reimagining of some of pop music’s most iconic songs of the Millennium era.

Spanning from 1996 to 2008, all 6 tracks in this EP show-off City String Ensemble’s ability to perform multi-genres within the pop industry with songs such as “Virtual Insanity” by Jamiroquai and “I Believe In A Thing Called Love” by The Darkness requiring a sensibility for the funk and rock genres respectively while Estelle ft. Kanye West’s “American Boy” puts a spotlight on our version of rap.

From the funk-driven grooves of Jamiroquai to the rhythmic precision required for rap-inspired string layers, this EP demonstrates our ability to adapt to diverse session genres beyond classical.
